FORD SPLASH
Under the direction of Jack Telnack, Ford Motor Company's design department created a very unique program. They hired four students to design a show car! We created design artwork and full size design drawings. My design was chosen for the Ford “Splash” Concept Car exterior. I oversaw the clay modeling process, participated in fabrication and promotional videos. The show car was a fully running prototype, and featured many advanced features; reversible side view mirrors with off road lights, variable height suspension, fiber optic tail lights, neoprene interior, and custom tire treads. The Splash toured various international auto shows after its debut in the 1989 Detroit Auto Show.
Character Design, Environments, Creatures, Vehicles, Titles, etc. Luckily, I've had a very eclectic career. My college training is in Industrial Design, and I've worked on a few projects in that field. I've showcased a project dear to my heart, the Ford Splash. It was an incredible experience that opened the gateway to many exciting projects to come.
